SHINee's Taemin rescues a cat from danger

A fan account titled, "Meeting angel Taemin at a street corner," has recently surfaced on the internet.

According to the account, Taemin and Minho were spotted near Taemin’s school. Dressed in their school uniforms, they were at a street corner waiting for the traffic light to change.

A stray cat suddenly ran across the road even though there were many cars. Taemin cried, "Oh no!" and dashed across the street to pick the cat up.

While it's not clear if the cat was injured or not, he brought the animal back to the pedestrian crossing. Taemin continued to look back at the cat until both were out of sight of each other.

The touching story has gained a lot of attention from both fans and netizens. Comments include, "Taemin truly is an angel!" and "What a lucky cat~~"

What do you think of Taemin's act of kindness?

SHINee's Key receives praise for good father skills

It seems like the members of SHINee are bursting with good deeds! While we recently covered a fan account of Taemin rescuing a cat, a blog post about Key taking care of a Korean mother's child has also gained a lot of attention.

On the road to Daegu to see her mother, the Korean blogger (a mother herself but not a Shawol) saw SHINee's Key sitting in the same row as her family. In the middle of the trip, her son went to the idol's side and continuously pestered him. Instead of getting annoyed at the child, Key gave him cookies and played with him.

She commented, "He really is a well-behaved youth!" Because of Key, her trip to Daegu was very relaxing. Even after the train had reached Daegu, Key held onto her son's hand until he had helped him down the train exit.

The blogger continued to praise the idol, "I believe that Key will definitely be a good father after marriage. ^^"

Do you agree?

SHINee's Taemin is not leaving school because of attendance issues

Amidst recent reports that SHINee's Taemin is leaving Chungdam High School due to problems fulfilling its attendance criteria, a spokesperson from the school has come forward to deny this, saying, "It is not true that his attendance is substandard."

On the 2nd of March, through a phone call with EdailySPN, the spokesperson stated, "Although it has become generally known that Taemin is leaving school due to attendance problems, this is in fact different from the truth. If he had indeed failed to meet attendance expectations, he would of course have be dismissed from school. In this case though, he is leaving of his own accord."

Prior to this, Taemin was caught up in a controversy when the subject of his leaving school was reported by the media.

Currently in his third year, Taemin is transferring to an arts school in order to better accommodate his promotion schedule with idol group SHINee.

SHINee's Taemin Withdraws From School

It has been disclosed that SHINee's Taemin withdrew from his high school this past February due to lack of attendance. An SM Entertainment representative stated, "In order for Taemin to be able to balance his activities as an idol as well a student, Taemin has decided to withdraw and transfer to an art school with more lenient policies."

It is no rarity for idols to sacrifice their studies for their jobs. Both Daesung and Seungri of Big Bang withdrew from their schools even before their debut to focus on their training. After that news reached the public, YG Entertainment had said, "It is very hard to fulfill the duties as both an idol and a student. Because Daesung and Seungri knew that they would be unable to excel in both areas, they chose to withdraw and focus on their music activities." After their debut, both Daesung and Seungri took qualification exams, and enrolled into KyungHee University.

Some other idols who sacrificed their education include Sunmi and Sohee of Wonder GirlsKim Hyun Joong of SS501, and BoA.
